Leadership is perhaps the most valuable resource for the business world, as well as society as a whole. Without solid leadership, even the best organization will fail. While some people have been called “born leaders,” upon close examination, we usually find that their leadership skills have been nurtured somewhere: at home, in school, or on the job.
The mission of the Mary Jane and Hugh M. Archer ’37 Center for Student Leadership Development (ACSLD) is to enrich and educate the Rensselaer Community through interactive and reflective learning experiences which foster lifelong leadership development. The ACSLD emphasizes the importance of engagement and skill-building so that we inspire the community to be critical, ethical and inclusive solvers of global challenges.
