Division of Finance

The Division of Finance enables and facilitates financial growth — for example, research, graduate education, and campaign — within the clearly defined framework of the Rensselaer Plan. Achieving the Plan's ambitious objectives requires maximum optimization and leveraging of Rensselaer’s financial assets during changing economic times, as well as the continued development of a centralized control environment where oversight and accountability are clearly articulated and consistently applied via new and revised policies and procedures.

COVID-19 Update

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute is closely monitoring the COVID-19 outbreak and has implemented contingency planning to ensure the health of the entire community and safety of operations.  The Institute has extended social distancing and some employees continue to work remotely.

  • The Controller’s Office is maintaining normal operations and all mailboxes are being monitored.
  • The Bursar’s Office is maintaining operations but will not be accepting in person payments and is monitoring the bursar@rpi.edu mailbox.
  • Research Administration and Finance (RAF) is maintaining normal operations and all mailboxes are being monitored.
