Hosted by the CBIS Graduate and Postdoc Association, the Best Practices for Remote Research provides a platform for graduate student discussion.

Part 1 - March 27, 2020

The CBIS Graduate Student Association would like to invite you to join us on WebEx to discuss Best Practices for Remote Research. The Dean of Graduate Experience, Colleen Smith, will be joining us to discuss this important topic. Certain topics we came up with for this Friday's discussion are: Best practices for working at home, maintaining a writing schedule, how to not be overwhelmed with online TA duties and how to plan for completing degree requirements! Part 2 - April 7, 2020

The CBIS Graduate Student Association would like to invite you to join us again on WebEx to continue our discussion: Best Practices for Remote Research. Similar to our last meeting, the Dean of Graduate Experience, Colleen Smith, will be joining us while we continue our discussion. Our last meeting included the discussion of various topics on how to stay focused at home, maintaining a proper work schedules and ideas for activities to fill your time during the quarantine period! We are hoping to continue this discussion series to include more topics starting with how to stay on track for degree requirement completion. Best Practices for Remote Research Best Practices for Remote Research series continues with Dean of Graduate Experience, Colleen Smith and RPI telecommuting expert, Dr. Timothy Golden, joining to discuss effective tips to maintain focus and remain productive as outlined in Rensselaer’s Guide to Living and Working Well While Social Distancing.
