Request for 2023 Program Proposals - Black Families Technology Awareness Day

We are now accepting proposals for Black Families Technology Awareness Day - "Diversity in STEM" from faculty, student groups, and alumni to conduct programming that will inform and excite young people about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Proposals are due no later than November 7, 2022, and can be submitted on the 2023 Proposal form.

Programs should fall into one of the following categories:

  • Hands-on and interactive STEM Activities suitable for:
    • Grades K-2
    • Grades 3-5
    • Grades 6-8
    • Grades 10-12
  • Lectures and interactive programs, including panel discussions on college preparedness and STEM careers, suitable for:
    • Grades 10-12
    • Parents
  • Lectures on Rensselaer research suitable for:
    • Grades 6-12
    • Parents

The programs should be 60 minutes in length. They will be offered on Saturday, February 4, 2023, between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. You may conduct more than one program if you are interested. If you have any questions, please email STEM-Diversity@rpi.edu.
