Be A Part of Black Families Technology Awareness Day 2025

Black Families Technology Awareness Day 2025, will take place on Saturday, February 1 (snow date Sunday, February 2).  The day is designed to excite and engage K-12 students and their parents or guardians in science, technology, engineering, the arts and mathematics. Information on past events can be found on the BFTAD website .

PRESENT A PROGRAM

We are currently soliciting requests for proposals for the 2025 event. Programs should be 45 minutes in length. The proposal submission deadline is November 1.

VOLUNTEER

Members of the Rensselaer Community of students, staff and faculty are invited to (1) volunteer as general volunteers for the day or (2) volunteer to directly support the various programs being offered. Everyone who is interested in volunteering in any capacity will need to register to do so.

All volunteers will be notified of their roles by January 8, and will be required to attend a short event orientation on January 28 or 29. Volunteers will receive an event t-shirt at orientation and lunch on the day of the event. Volunteer registration will be open through December 5.
