As we head into the new semester, we want to remind you to review the Rensselaer Handbook of Student Rights and Responsibilities. There is only one change for Spring 2025. With the help of the Student Life
Committee of the Student Senate, we’ve updated the campus sign policy. A few key takeaways include:
• Non-event signage can now be posted for three weeks (previously two weeks);
• Signs are now permitted on the 15th Street bridge;
• Signs from non-RPI organizations must clearly state the campus organization or office that is sponsoring the sign;
• Posting is not permitted on lampposts.
A huge shoutout goes out to Vice Grand Marshal Timothy Miles ’24, ’25G, for his leadership of this review and the other contributing members of the Student Life Committee, including Griffin Oliver ’27, Ria Massoni ’24, ’25G, Zach Nobles ’27, and Andrew Wu ’27.
Every Rensselaer student is responsible for understanding and complying with all published policies, protocols, and requirements set forth by the Institute. If you or someone you know has any questions or needs any type of support, please visit our list of campus resources.
