Parking Permits are Required

A reminder to all Rensselaer community members that parking on campus requires a permit purchased from Rensselaer.  Those permits may be purchased at rpi.aimsparking.com.

The ability for those who pay for parking permits to find parking spots has been an increased challenge as of late due to parking spaces being taken by community members who choose not to pay for parking privileges.  In an effort to provide spaces for those who have paid for them, the office of Parking and Transportation has increased enforcement in all lots and raised fines for those found in violation.  The fine for parking on campus and not having a registered permit is $150 per instance.

In addition, as the campus conducts snow removal operations, the parking lot gates need to be raised for extended periods of time to facilitate the same.  Entering a parking lot through an open gate without permitted access to that lot is a fine of $400.  This includes entering a lot through an open exit gate.  If you are not permitted for that lot, you do not have access to it.

For those students who have yet to purchase a permit, Spring semester permits are available at rpi.aimsparking.com.  For faculty and staff, permits are available at rpi.aimsparking.com and are automatically prorated when using payroll deduction.
