The Off Campus Commons and the Department of Public Safety want to provide safety tips regarding stolen vehicles.

Some recent thefts have been associated with Kia and Hyundai vehicles (model years 2011 - 2022) that have been identified as having a security software vulnerability.  Please refer to the manufacturer's website and/or contact a dealer about vulnerability fixes.

OTHER VEHICLE SAFETY TIPS:

• Take your vehicle's key; do not leave it in or on your vehicle.
• Close and lock all windows and doors when you park.
• Park in well-lit areas if possible.
• Never leave valuables in your vehicle
• Report any theft to DPS or call 911
